Matt Dyck – Director, Student Engagement & Experience
I’m passionate about helping learners achieve their goals through the power of flexible education, because life rarely pauses politely while we go back to school. Between careers, kids, caregiving, laundry mountains, and the occasional existential crisis, finding time to learn can feel like trying to schedule a meeting with a raccoon: complicated, slightly chaotic, yet oddly satisfying.
I know the impact of flexible education firsthand. As a first-generation student, I completed my graduate studies online while supporting my family. Along the way, I discovered two important truths: education can happen at any stage of life, and gaming coffee loyalty programs should qualify for academic credit.
I’m incredibly proud of the work our team does to support and strengthen the student experience at TRU. We’re here to answer questions, offer guidance, build community, and cheer students on from their very first application all the way to graduation day.
We’re deeply committed to supporting diverse learners and creating spaces where students feel seen, welcomed, and empowered to succeed. Every learner brings unique experiences, perspectives, and strengths to our community, and that diversity is one of the greatest parts of student life.
I believe education is a reciprocal force for good in society: we learn from one another, grow through connection, and become stronger communities because of it. I encourage you to get involved in student activities — online or in person — because your voice, experiences, and ideas matter more than you may realize.
Our team is committed to enhancing the student experience in meaningful ways, and I’d love to hear from you. Whether you want to connect, ask a question, share your story, or simply say hello, please don’t hesitate to reach out.
