Dan Stultz – OL Program Advisor
Hello, my name is Dan Stultz and I am the Open Learning Program Advisor for Health Science, Technology and Social Work.
My journey with TRU began when I started my undergrad in 2011. I graduated from TRU with a Bachelor of Arts, History in 2016. During my studies, I was a committee member and presenter for the 9th Annual PHP (Philosophy, History and Politics) Undergraduate Conference, where I got to showcase my research. I also was co-president of the TRU History Club on campus. I also completed a few work-study opportunities both with the History faculty and with campus advising. During my work-study with advising a passion ignited and that is when I knew that I wanted a career in higher education and working as a program advisor. I joined TRU in 2017 working in the Registrar’s office before becoming an Open Learning advisor in 2020.
I can honestly say that I love my job and coming to work each and every day. Each student has a different story and I enjoy working with every student and helping guide them to their educational goals. My biggest advice to students is to never be afraid to ask questions. Advisors are here to answer any of your questions and even if we don’t know the answer, we can help guide you to the proper department at TRU.
Once you have completed your studies, I encourage you to travel to Kamloops to attend convocation. OL students can walk across the stage too! I look forward to meeting students at each convocation and getting to meet your families.
Thank you for choosing TRU and I look forward to working with you!
